A History Of Excellence.

Laying the Groundwork.

Founders identify a critical gap in NYC’s energy market: the need for reliable fuel sources and better service. The vision is clear—secure the supply and deliver better value for property owners.

Energo Opens Its Doors.

Founded in Brooklyn, Energo enters a crowded heating oil market in March 1996 with a commitment to serving Metro New York with integrity, responsiveness and technical expertise.

Building Momentum.

Energo steadily grows its footprint, earning market share through dependable heating oil delivery and personalized service.

Market Shift Spurs Natural Gas Expansion.

Rising heating oil prices push Energo to diversify. The company launches a mechanical services division to support natural gas conversions and hires licensed master plumbers to expand into commercial gas construction.

A Licensed Natural Gas Supplier.

Energo becomes a licensed Energy Services Company (ESCO) in New York State, officially entering the natural gas supply market across National Grid and Con Edison territories. Today, Energo supplies natural gas to businesses throughout New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Entering Electricity Supply.

The company expands again—this time into electricity—becoming a full-service supplier of both electricity and natural gas in downstate New York and New Jersey.

Growth Through Strategic Acquisitions.

Energo acquires Blue Rock Energy in Syracuse, growing its electricity and natural gas footprint in upstate New York. Later that year, the purchase of Ambassador Fuel strengthens the company’s presence in the Bronx and boosts heating oil market share.

A Pivotal Year.

Despite pandemic challenges, Energo acquires National Fuel Resources in Buffalo, dramatically increasing its annual natural gas sales by 700%.

Scaling Up with Major Clients.

The gas and power division sees rapid growth, supplying marquee clients like Anheuser-Busch and Walmart and solidifying the company’s role as a trusted commercial energy partner.
