Mid-Hudson Civic Center is an outstanding not-for-profit community organization dedicated to providing cultural, recreational and educational opportunities in the area. It is comprised of well recognized venues like the Majed J. Nesheiwat Convention Center, McCann Ice Arena and Ice Time Sports Complex.
THE BACK STORY
The Mid-Hudson Civic Center was getting their electricity and natural gas service from another energy supplier. Unbeknownst to new management, the energy accounts were neglected and auto-renewed without a direct strategy in place. Fortunately, with ongoing support from their local Energo Advisor, they identified energy goals, customized fixed pricing strategies, and budget certainty, which facilitated accurate forecasting and better protection of their bottom line.
WE’RE TEAM PLAYERS, TIME AND TIME AGAIN
After a full analysis of the historical energy usage and spend, Energo proposed a fixed price option for The Mid-Hudson Civic Center to lock in their electricity and natural gas supply costs for a period that covered more than a year of high energy use seasons. Not only did this allow them to more accurately predict their future energy spend come budget time, but the pricing that Energo offered was much lower than their former supplier and substantially below the average utility price for electricity and natural gas.

After much discussion during the Fall of 2019, Energo and The Mid-Hudson Civic Center have partnered to bring new digital scoreboards to the McCann Ice Arena as part of the Civic Center’s renovation initiatives.
