THE BACK STORY
With four different locations in Monroe County, all with costly heating, cooling, refrigeration, and general utility demands, the owners of Jeremiah’s eventually grew tired of market fluctuations and their inability to properly budget for energy expenses. They turned to Energo for guidance and a long-term strategy that accounts for usage and allows for budgeting—a rare combination these days.

As is the case with all clients, Jeremiah’s personal Energo Advisor began with a thorough audit of their usage patterns and dollars spent monthly/yearly on gas and electricity. What started as a seasonal fixed price plan to cover the winter spike eventually evolved into a long term fixed plan meant to overcome market volatility and support financial forecasting based on historical models and consistent monitoring of usage at each of the four restaurant locations.

The Mid-Hudson Civic Center was getting their electricity and natural gas service from another energy supplier. Unbeknownst to new management, the energy accounts were neglected and auto-renewed without a direct strategy in place. Fortunately, with ongoing support from their local Energo Advisor, they identified energy goals, customized fixed pricing strategies, and budget certainty, which facilitated accurate forecasting and better protection of their bottom line.

The historic Mill House features three floors and more than 200 seats in 5,000 square feet of completely renovated space, including both an upscale restaurant and an on-site brewpub. Mill House Brewing is run by Brewmaster Jamie Bishop, who has led MHBC to become a major player in the explosive craft beer scene coming out of the Hudson Valley, striving for the perfect balance of art and science.

In the mid 1990’s, Linda and Gary Dower noticed that most American hotels had very little to do with “hospitality,” and were simply convenient and predictable places for travelers to sleep at night as they passed through. So, the couple decided to create an unrivaled get-a-way destination that afforded people like themselves a place to experience a truly unique escape.
